Cityscape was responsible for Volkswagen’s facade design and interior construction documents for this $20 million renovation to a 1922 Albert Kahn building on 11th Avenue. A 2-story sales space was created, and the entire plan reorganized. Program finishes and custom enhancements including: two active video display walls, accent lighting, and a high end glass handrail system were provided. Two stories of vehicles along the exterior glass walls display vehicles 24 hours a day. The modern German character is reinforced in the expressed structure of the new glass and aluminum handrail system.
