Pyro HVAC
Howell, MI
2006

Pyro Heating and Cooling’s office and warehouse was conceived as a giant heating duct. The heating and cooling aspects of the company’s business are represented by blue tinted glass and the hot red metal panels at the entry. For economy and scale, a standard single-sloping metal framing system was employed for the building’s construction. Carving out one corner of the building to accommodate the curved red panels created a dynamic entry without any changes to the standard column and beam configuration. Including site work, the 6,600 square-foot building cost just $67/square-foot to build. This facility garnered national metal building awards from Metal Architecture and Metalmag
